its what youve all been waiting for.

like i stated in my prevous post.
we're engaged.
and its exciting
and weird
but more exciting.

wade did such a good job at picking it out! I didn't help him at all. I just told him that i want something REALLY simple.
so this is how it went down...

(i'm going to warn you, -if you know me, you already know this- but i'm the WORST at telling stories, any kind. so bear with me, and pretend like you get what i'm saying..)

wade and i went to his cabin with his parents (darren and carrie) for labor day weekend. One day, we decided that we wanted to go jet skiiing. well, i was on the back of wades and he was driving...we were just riding around and his dad was on the other jet ski. well darren said "hey wade, i'm going to go back and pick up your mom and then we'll meet you guys back at the cabin.." so we ride around for a while and then wade says "hey, we should go and play on that island!!" and i was like "sweet sounds like fun!" so we parked the jet ski on the shore of the little island, and we were skipping rocks and running around and all that, and then he says, "kar! are you thirsty? I put some water bottles in the jet ski.." so we go over and he pulls out the bag that the waters are in and after i take a drink of water, i gave him the water bottle back and turned to go find some more rocks...well then he gave me a HUGE hug and little did i know that the ring box was behind my back in his hand....? so picture that. when someone hugs you, their hands are behind their backs. so i had no idea...wade always says cute things to me, so he started saying things like..."i can't wait to be married to you.." or.."you're so cute, i can't wait for you to be my wife!" and i was just oblivious to everything and i was like.."..yeah..you too!" or whatever and then he was like...no, but really karly! and then he said some more things to me and then just got down on his knee and asked me the BIG QUESTION! :]
i was so excited. i didn't even look at the ring, i just gave him a huge hug and i was freaking out. he was like .."don't you want to see the ring!?" and i was like "noooo kiss me!" but then we finally put the ring on and i LOOOOOVE it. let me tell you guys, i'm not a ring wearer. at all. so i wanted something simple. i love my ring, and wade designed it all by himself. he had asked me if i wanted to design it, but that takes all the fun out of it?! i just let him surprise me and he did such a good job! i love it. (did i mention that already)
