okay guys. i've been meaning to post this for a long time, but never did because, well, admitting your weakness's to over 100 people isnt on my top 10, but now that i'm dead serious, i have no other choice. :) did you ever hear that quote, "A goal not written down, is only a wish."? well ive heard it, and as to most things, i believed that it didn't pertain to me (ha.) i wanted to start this resolution in january, but i wasn't mentally prepared to start. i realize that now, more than ever, that everyone has their own goals they want to achieve, but never have. what is yours?
okay, so for the first time in my life, i want to talk about weight..with all of you. on here, and only on here. so heres my story, i've been wanting to feel happier about myself for a long time. i got a personal trainer last year around this time, and it was great for a little while, i loved it, but then i moved to rexburg for school and got out of my routine and haven't gotten back into it since then. then i met wade and he liked me the way i was and i'm a fairly confident person and didn't feel the need to change for anyone.(talk about a run on sentence).. but lately, i've realized this: if i dont change for myself, i wont ever change.. nope nope. i found this blog post a while ago and it got me thinking, i could do this. but then, forgot about it, and now realizing that post right there has collected all my thoughts for what i'm writing now.
so, with that being said, i'm posting this on my blog. to help motivate myself, by writing it down. and not only writing it down for myself, but writing it so that everyone can see that i'm really serious about this. i want to feel happier about myself and have more energy. i love to playing sports and being active! i just need to do it more, and get up and do it! i'm not setting a specific weight loss goal, because thats not my main focus (but hoping that comes along with) being happy & healthy. i'll track my progress, for the most part, but i just need everyone's support! :] fun workouts, healthy recipies, encouagement, ect. i started last monday after reading this blog. i have to do this, now's the time. i've been following cute little ashley for quite sometime, but this weekly challenge has got me motivated to do it, for real this time.
these photos are the real me, not my average pictures that i post on here (ha, not that those arent real either, but you get what i'm saying) .i was just getting back from the gym, no makeup, nothing. i'm really nervous to push that little orange publish button down there, but i know that this is the motivation that i need, like ashley said in her blog, stop talking, start doing. what better time than now?
You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.

I believe in you girly :) I think you're beautiful but YOU need to know you're beautiful...I've learned this since I've been at school. I've got no one to impress..but myself. Here are some things that I like doing (but trust me..I have NO motivation but I feel like if I did, I'd be so stinkin' fit. HA). I love yoga! I have a WiiFit and I did yoga on there...such a great thing to have. Seriously. Also, Seventeen magazine has workouts that you can do that I think would get me looking super muscular...if I did them all the time. So I'm going to try and follow with you and get more motivated. Good luck :)
You go girl! {haha, I don't mean to sound cheesey} I really mean that. I get freakin excited to work out all the time, and I know that may sound stupid, but I do. And I love hearing other people talk about it, and start loving it too. Duuudde, Karly, keep this up! Sometimes I have no motivation whatsoever to exercise, but then I start, and feel 20million times better! :) Just push through those bad thoughts.
Good luck! I hope blogging about this motivates you! :)
I read Ashley's post earlier this week, and I am so ready to start running again. The weather is warming up and makes it easier to get out and RUN!! Keep it up Karly :) You CAN do this!!
Good luck sweet friend!
How fun! My friend does her little recipe blog. She hasn't posted too many things yet but she recently started doing the same thing you are so she's been focusing more on posting more healthy things. Check it out if you want! :)

Whoohoo, good luck! I need to start working out again, too. My husband injured his knee and I basically stopped running when he stopped, but he is the only one with a good excuse :)
I love how you said that you want to feel happier about yourself. I think that is a key to being in shape (and any goal really!) So many people me included, have a hard time just being happy with themselves and I think being healthy is a great way to start feeling better, no matter your weight. So thank you for posting about your goal and inspiring all of us :)
And I'm so glad you found my blog! I am glad to now have found yours. It is so cute and I love your sweet stories of you and your husband. Also, if you're interested, I'm doing a giveaway on my blog right now so you're welcome to enter!

Oh my goodness! You can do it!! I got so much inspiration from Ashley's post as well!! It really motivated me (along with some other things) to do this. I've been going strong for a week now. I know that doesn't seem like much, but when you just take it a day at a time it is a big accomplishment! I have a few quotes that I've either heard or come up with on my own that really motivate me. Let me know if you would like them. :) We can do it together!
You are so cute!
losing weight for yourself is by far the best reason to do it... well at least I think so.
You are so cool for posting pics in gym clothes, and no make-up. I have been toying with the same idea for awhile.
Good luck girl! I'm rooting for you
Yay!!! Go get it lady! ;)
That's so funny, I'm totally in the same boat! I just spent $200+ on groceries to stock up with all my healthy food. I've done the biggest loser 30 day jump start a year ago and lost 25 lbs... then gained some back...but I'm going again! I've been running on and off for the last 2-3 months but I got my book out and have all my meals set. It's an awesome book and it's great because you start small and work your way up. It tells you exactly what to eat each day and has recipes and then tells you what to do for a workout. It really works! I don't have a specific weight in mind either. I just want to be healthy and happier with myself because I hate looking in the mirror some days. Cheers to a healthy life!
Ok my dearest Karly :) You got me motivated! Monday.. it starts :) Bright and early! woot!
you are fabulous! i think this is amazing. i find that using my blog to keep me motivated on the things i really care about has really helped!
I found your blog through Diana S.'s blog and looks like you've motivated me too! The rest of your blog is darling too :)
Thanks for visiting my blog! Love this post - best of luck to you, i know you can do it!
Oh hey, this is just the story of my life. For real though, I love that there are other people out there who are trying to do the same thing I'm trying to do. Being in college and living on my own has really motivated me to buy healthy foods and not buy junk but it is so hard to motivate myself to get up early in the morning and go to the gym! Good luck with this goal!
