being sick is GROSS!

So, I was writing about this on my private blog yesterday. Did you know I have one? It's actually just about my fitness goals and what not, maybe one day, i'll open it up to readers. we'll see.
I was writing about how important our bodies are and how I need to treat mine better. I feel like this past week I've been eating really well, I've been exercising and feeling really good. On thursday however, my work ordered cafe rio and because i'm human, i had some. Later on in the day, I got home and Wade asked me on a date. We ended up going to Mongolian grill and then went to the park and ate it & then threw around the football for a while. I felt fine, I even went to bed fine but when my 7:00 alarm went off to hit the gym, something in my brain told me not to move. I think I was too tired to understand that I was nauseous, so I just laid there. Ten minutes went by and i finally ignored the feeling and got out of bed. Right as I got out, I threw up EVERYWHERE. if you can only imagine what it looked like, mexican food AND mongolian food. The smell is what hit me, and would make me throw up even more.  Then I really had to go to the bathroom, you know, like go.to.the.bathroom.

So I'm sitting on the toilet, going and holding a pan and throwing up at the same time. seriously, the worst experience ever.

So I decided the gym wasn't the place to go that day, and that I should go back to sleep until 9:30 so I could get ready for work at 10. I thought about calling in, but knew that I was covering someone elses shift and that just wasn't possible.

So, at 9:30 I woke up, started the shower and 2 minutes into my shower, I had to run to the toilet again. Seriously...throwing up is the absolute worst. I headed into work and as I was watching some of the kids, I got nauseous again. There was no way I could stay there, but we were already short staffed. After two hours of running to the bathroom and back, I finally told my boss I shouldn't be there. I came home and slept. ALL DAY and ALL night. miserable.

But my sweet sister brought me a jamba, and made me orange juice. Those were the only things that sounded good. Then my neighbor Amy brought me down some Herbal Tea and my other neighbor Nicole text me and asked if I needed anything. I need to be a better friend!

I thought it might have been food poisoning, but then why did none of my other co-workers or Wade get sick? I just don't think my body handled it well! Being sick is the worst! But today I'm feeling about 80% better. My head is a little dizzy and heavy, but I havent thrown up for almost 18 hours!

Anyways, lesson learned. MY BODY IS NOT A TRASH CAN! You can't go for weeks eating healthy and then all the sudden feed it crap!  I don't think I'll ever be able to eat Cafe Rio or Mongolian again. ...GOOD THING!

I got food poisoning from a mcdonalds kids meal once and it was BAD! I had to have Scott stay home so he could bring Charlotte in to nurse. It was awful. I hated being in the bathroom once an hour for about 16 hrs straight while my body found any way to get everything out of it. Sorry you had to feel that crappy. It sucks. And I had been eating super healthy too and dropping weight but had a few icky moments on our trip and I'm so over fast food right now. Can't wait to get back home to have access to all my stuff! The only good thing I find is losing weight from puking and being sick and having a fresh start. Who doesn't love dropping 3 lbs in a day? Haha... yeah... not so fun that way but hey, I gotta be a little optimistic :)
