Last October (maybe September) Calebs parents asked us if we might consider watching Caleb for a week or so while they went on a cruise this summer. We considered it, and of course we said yes! Wade has been working with Caleb at TLC for the last 2 years and loves the heck out of him! His parents are true saints and deserved a break! Last week was the week we had been waiting for since September. It was challenging but so rewarding and helped me see new things from different perspectives. For one, it really did open my eyes as to how much love and patience Wade really has towards Caleb. It also opened my eyes to how much work it is to keep up a nice house like that for a week! Even though we were only watching him, i felt like I was constantly doing laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping...and to think Calebs mom has 4 other children! Super woman, no doubt! It also opened my eyes to see what it's like to go to bed late and to wake up early, which I guess in essence is getting me all prepared for mommyhood in one more month! (i feel like we really aren't going to know what is going to hit us next month, but really, how do you truly prepare for something you've NEVER done before?) Anyways! This past week has just been a learning week with Caleb and overall, we had a good time. He loves french fries and icecream and car rides and parks so you bet we did all of those things multiple times last week! So fun! Here are some pictures of our fun week!!

I think you'll be surprised at how much sleep you'll get... unless your baby is just really fussy a lot. With this being your first and a lovely newborn that sleeps all the time, it shouldn't be too bad. Even the second time around I got lucky and Jack ended up being a great sleeper. Either way you'll do awesome because you are awesome. I think you'll be a pro :)
