Today was Ivy's blessing day! Last night, Ivy was being a little fussy, and I fed her and handed her to wade to put to sleep. It was almost 1:00 and Wade had gone to the BSU football game and hadn't seen her all day. I walked back into my room and heard him talking to Ivy. He said some things along the lines of, "Hi my little Ivy, I missed you today. Were you good for mommy? Tomorrow is your special day, aren't you so excited?" I went to go get something out of the car and came back and he was still giving her a little pep talk for today. It was pretty cute.
She woke up this morning at 7:45 and I fed her and changed her and she was smiling ALL morning. She was kicking and wide awake and alert and it was the cutest thing. The last two weeks, she just hasn't been herself. I'm hoping her gassiness is gone, or at least settled a little bit! An hour before we left to the church, I fed her and laid her on the bed while we finished getting ready. She played around for a couple minutes and then she fell asleep. I wrapped her up in her beautiful blessing blanket that grandma bennion made her and loaded her up in the carseat!

She slept right until the blessing and woke up when I unwrapped her to hand her over to wade. She didn't cry, she just was wide awake looking around. Wade gave the most heartfelt blessing and we both were emotional today. Before sacrament meeting started, I was holding Ivy watching all mine and wades family and friends come in and tears just flooded my eyes. I was so overwhelmed by all the love and support from everyone, it meant a lot to Wade and I. Most of our family is from Utah and it just got me thinking... events like these are the reasons we have family; to love and support each other in making important decisions in life.
Wade and I gave our testimonies in sacrament meeting. I don't think I've given mine since we moved into the ward almost 3 years ago. I'm not very good at expressing my feelings and thoughts, testimony or not. I need to practice more! :) Wade did great, love him tons..:)

After sacrament, we went over to my moms and had a little luncheon after party deal. We had ham and baked potatoes and rolls and salads and desserts! It was so yummy and Ivy just loved having everyone hold her! She was happy the whole day! We love that little peanut! It was such a special day and my heart is so full! I love my little family and being a mom is the best thing I've ever experienced in my life!
