6th graders are groovy!

This week has been crazy! It seems like whenever we get sick around here, we GET SICK AROUND HERE. Last weekend we thought it would be fun to go to Utah, and visit the babies (My brother Ryan and Wades Sister dawn had their baby boys), get a hotel, go shopping..kind of have a last trip before we both start school up again. Well, we showed up to Utah, went and saw the babies..SO SO SO cute! :) And then we went to Sushi, of course! And then..on our way back to Danielle's, I mentioned that I was getting a sore throat. And it pretty much went down hill from there!

The next morning, Wade and I both woke up and were really achy. Our back muscles and shoulders hurt so bad, and it was the weirdest thing. But we decided to get ready and continue with our plans! So we went to the Gateway mall to look around. We hadn't been there for a long time since City Creek opened. But once we got there, we both had to sit out while everyone else shopped. And then we ended up leaving 30 minutes later and went to check into our hotel. Once we checked in, we put the baby in her pack and play, closed the blinds and crashed. We were both dizzy & achy.

Needless to say, our trip was pretty much ruined (except that we got to see family, and those cute babies!!). We didn't do anything the rest of the trip, in fact, we checked out of our hotel first thing in the morning and somehow drove home. Probably not the safest thing. Poor Ivy, she was such a trooper. Wade went to the doctor Monday while I managed to go to my new teacher orientation. He got diagnosed with strep. So I figured the next day I should go in. I took Ivy with me, and I had strep too & poor Ivy had an earache. Not fun! But it's Saturday and we are all better!

Saturdays, I'm ALWAYS the first one up! And it's 9:30! What the heck, people! Ivy, you especially! Always sleepin' in.  This week, I've spent a lot of time in my classroom trying to get it ready for back to school night NEXT THURSDAY! AY! I'm so scared!!! I decided to do a "peace, love, learn" theme in my classroom...6th graders are GROOVY!!!

Tuesday we had Katee's bridal shower, it was so fun!! Can't believe she is getting married in 3 weeks!
