A december update

We bought a house! Do you know how happy that makes us, considering we were supposed to be in one in JUNE! Ayyy. But it's funny how things work out, because we are in a much better predicament. God just knows best! Why is that always so hard to understand, sometimes?

Ivy is 16 months! Every stage in her life just keeps getting better and better. Even though I miss her in her newborn stage, all the cuddles and such, it just keeps getting better!

-Everytime we open the fridge, she says, "Apple" clear as day. I don't know why??

-She knows the animal noises for and can recognize a cat, dog, bird, monkey, tiger, horse, and cow.

-Whenever she falls, and I say.."Ivy, are you okay?" she looks up and says, "K!" Or if I say, "Ivy, we don't play in the toilet, okay?" She nods and says, "k" but it sounds like, "day" and its so stinkin' cute. I also will joke with her and say, "Ivy, I'm going to give you a spanking k?" and she nods and says, "k" hahah.

-She can recognize her papa (grandpa) in pictures.

-She's found a new love for her "b" which is her blanket. She has never had a specific blanket that she sleeps with. I've tried to switch it up so she wouldn't be 10 years old carrying around a blanket..but over Thanksgiving break when we stayed at my dads, I brought one in specific, and now she just loves it and it's a little cute. ha ha.

-trying to wean her off her bottle...yeah, not as easy as it sounds!!!

-She weighs 26 lbs and 13 ounces. That's almost 27 pounds, and that is kind of huge! Some of our friends have 2 and 3 year olds that don't weight that much. What can I say, I love my chunky baby! Also, the doctors said she should start to level off because she just started walking!

-Yep, she is walking! She started walking at 15 months. Finally! Talk about how to make a mama nervous!

-She loves to play in the toilet! ugh. books do not..do not go in the toilet!

-One of her favorite things to do is "sit sit" which sounds a lot like the S word. She loves to sit on anything, counches, benches, barstools, anything! (besides her own seat!)
