vent sesh.

so, i'm really annoyed, and i have been for about a week, so i thought i'd share this little story that occurred last thursday. so you might know, that i only go up to school on tuesdays and thursdays. i take mostly online classes, so that when i do drive up to rexburg for school, i only come up for two classes. one being motivation and management [a class for my major]and the other being a health class called personal health and wellness [a class for my generals].

well, i love my motivation class,my teacher is really smart and the class is just really interesting. in class, we were learning about democratic, punitive and permissive teachers. we are reading this book called setting the limits in the classroom. Such an interesting book. I was so intrigued by the book that was reading it on my way to my next class. i got to class and since i still had 3 or 4 minutes til it started, i sat in my seat and was reading my book. then, my professor [which, side note, let me tell you about this guy & class real quick. he's about 60 years old, super smart, but really rude. when he asks questions to the class, and people raise their hand, and if they aren't right on, he'll call them out and say, "well, you probably should have read the book more thoroughly.." or "that's not right, not even close!" or...just really rude things like that. a simple, "thats not the answer i was looking for.." would have sufficed, anyways] 

anyways, so my professor asks someone to say the prayer. [yes, we really do start class off with prayers at my school, its bomb.] and then i go to finish my paragraph in my book.

but then my professor looks at me in the back of the classroom and says, 

-"hey ma'am, are you going to read your book all day or are you going to hang out with us.."

-"um, i will hang out with you...?"

-"sorry class, but that is just so disrespectful, i get paid to teach and she comes to class to read a book. sorry for me being so sensitive, class... [looks at me]...you know what? i don't know what your grade is in the class but......."

and then he trails off into something.

okay, number 1. just to clarify, i WAS reading about the kind of teacher he was. and it DID turn out to be that he was a punitive teacher, which means he belittles people and always has to feel like hes the man boss.

number 2. i DO understand that i should have put my book away right when class had started. but i was going to, i just wanted to end at that paragraph. 

number 3. you could have asked nicely.

number 4. YOU'RE A MEANY BROTHER L & it might be time for you to retire.

number 5. Wade wants a word with you.

number 6. today in my M&M class, we definitely talked about teachers who have teaching styles like yours and its NOT OKAY. 

number 7. i gave you a bad review on ratemyprofessor.com & the end of course evaluation.

number 8. i'm done with my ranting, and i'm done being annoyed. whew.
i feel a lot better.
