Oh..that Ivy girl.
I get home from school everyday, and I'm like...YOU'RE HUGE! STOP GROWING!
This month especially she just seems like an actual baby, and not an infant to me. She just looks like a big baby, and it's so stinkin' sad.
But I love it at the same time! She's so fun and interactive, and I can't get enough of her soft sweet cheeks!
*smiles whenever she hears wade or I talk or see's either of us come into the room
*finally rolled over! :)
*her laugh...her laugh is the cutest! Sometimes it sounds like it comes from her gut, it's the best sound ever!
*is now sitting up!
*hates rice cereal!
*love sweet potatoes
*hates squash
*sleeps a lot better through the night than a month ago
*loves to play with her keys, chewy ring and stuffed mini piglet.
*doesn't fall asleep to the blowdryer anymore! (*thank goodness, thought I was going to start the house on fire one of these nights)
*she loves to put her cheek squished on mine and make faces in the mirror
*suck on her toes!
*size 2 diapers
*some 3-6 months but mostly all of her 6 months clothes are out!
We had to do some lsleep training this past couple days! She slept like a champ until we took her to St. George over the holidays. We wanted her to be good in the car, and she slept almost the whole way there, which resulted in her being awake a lot of the night. For the whole next week while we were there, we were sharing a house with Wade's siblings and whenver she would wake up and cry, we would just give her a bottle so she wouldn't wake up the other babies. Bad idea, because when we got home, she was waking up every two hours in need of a bottle! Just newly student teaching and wanting sleep, I gave in! But now I'm all wise and stuff, and am thinking to myself that this can't go on much longer, because for real, we both need our sleep! So with my knowledge on BabyWise and asking a couple SUPERMOMs on facebook, I did what I thought would work! Every time she cried, Wade and I would take turns going in. So For example, at 12 when she would first cry, we went in and gave her her binky. Of course, she was so ticked because she wanted her bottle, but then we just left the room. We let her cry for 10 minutes, then went back in. Then let her cry for 20 minutes..and usually by then she was already cried to sleep. Then she would wake up 2 hours later, and we did it again! It was way super sad, but I know she wasn't "hungry" because we fed her twice the amount we normally would right before she went to bed. Anyways, this went on for 2 nights and by the 3rd night, she was literally only waking up one time and that was at 5:30 AM. It was so nice. :) That was about 2 weeks ago, and she will still wake up one time during the night, but when we go in and give her her binky she rolls back over and goes to sleep. So we'll take it.

Man, this parenting thing is no joke. But I love that you just can take advice and see what works for your baby..and if it works, you keep doing it, and if not, theres like 3 million other ways to do it!

SO TRUE! If it doesn't work, there are always an infinite amount of suggestions. Which is usually awesome. Unless you've gone through like 50 to find a good one haha!
Oh girl... the sleep training is HARD. But you're doing great, mama! And the best part is that she's ALMOST old enough to be able to find her own paci in the middle of the night. When Grace could do that, our nights got REALLLLY good. :)
